Globalization of infectious diseases

Globalization, the flow of information, goods, capital and people across political and geographic boundaries, has helped to spread some of the deadliest infectious diseases known to humans.

Globalization is driven by economic, technological, political influences, cultural systems and values, and factors of social and natural environment. We must beware of how far-reaching changes are impacting on infectious diseases.

It should be noted that infectious diseases are a growing threat to all nations in the developed world. But it also can provide innovative mechanisms, to controlglobal infectious diseases.

In public health, a similar combination of factors of age and new can be seen. People have cooperated in the fight against infectious diseases, first through international sanitary treaties and later through the World Health Organization.

Globalization has affected public health in three ways. First, the shrinking of the world by technology and economic interdependence allows diseases to spread globally at rapid speed. Second, the development of the global market has intensified economic competition and increased pressure on governments to reduce expenditures, including the funding of public health programs, leaving states increasingly unprepared to deal with emerging disease problems. Third, public health programs have also “gone global” through WHO and health-related nongovernmental organizations.

Migration

Migration is when people come or go from one country to move to another, either by economic necessity, political, for work or for sentimental reasons. As regards the political product of the crisis causes that may arise in certain countries.

Movie

Yesterday I went to see a movie to mall San Pedro. The movie was “Love and other drugs”.

This movie was about a boy, is a person who does not care, no feelings, personality free, don’t have a professional career and the only thing that matters is to have sex with any girl. Time goes by the change a lot of work and continues to meet girls, until he finds a job at a pharmaceutical company, where he have to try sell a product to company pull out.

In one clinic where he comes, here meeting with a patient who is a girl very beautiful but she refuses, then he likes her and on girl had rejected earlier. Pass the time, and they are meeting more, but she does not want a stable relationship because she is ill. She has Parkinson, but he doesn´t matter.

They come to love and have discussions because she does not want that life should be ordered to look after her while her illness worse. But he is willing to do anything and decides he wants to make her life with her.

I like a lot this movie because it leaves a very nice message, and the only thing he cares about is love and to be happy and make her happy despite the circumstances.

Global Warming

Global warming is when the earth heats up (the temperature rises). It happens when greenhouse gases (carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane) trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature.

Global warming is affecting many parts of the world. Global warming makes the sea rise, and when the sea rises, the water covers many low land islands. This is a big problem for many of the plants, animals, and people on islands. The water covers the plants and causes some of them to die. When they die, the animals lose a source of food, along with their habitat.

Many things cause global warming. One thing that causes global warming is electrical pollution. Also the fossil fuels like oil and petroleum, many people use these sources of energy much more than the sources that give off less pollution. I think that the people should be more aware at the time of use.

One of the most interesting possible solutions for global warming is distributed solar powered homes combined with electric cars. People should conserve the environment more, could plant more trees, and avoid contaminating the rivers, factories use less chemicals.

People want to know what is going to happen in future terms with our world if we keep contaminate our water which is the primary element we need. So it is very important that we fight global warming and try to live in a healthy environment.
